About
History
Kaomei was firstly a blog. I used to posting personnal entries, and host some friends. However I decided not to renew it when it expires. I switched to Livejournal then, before letting my paid account down to buy an other domain name. That one is hosted by Kaomei.org
Why did I decide to open Kaomei again? I used to host people before, and I really enjoyed that. Plus, I have several sites that don’t use lots of space and bandwidth. To reduce hosting fees (I like to buy domain names, but hosting them in separated account is too expensive), I finally bought a reseller account, so I can have as many websites as I want. With a reseller account, enough space and bandwidth, and with a view to help young and talented people, I opened Kaomei.org, a hosting domain. It was in March 2006.
Now, Kaomei.org is hosted by Dreamhost. We have plenty more space and bandwith. Kaomei is even more willing to welcome new hostees! ^^
Philosophy
Kaomei.org is a hosting domain. It offers free hosting and sponsoring to talented people trough the web. Following the web standards isn’t a requirement, but a good accessibility for all people is demanded.
My wish is to create a strong friendship between all the fellows hosted sites and their webmasters.
Coding and design help are provided. I won’t let my hostees “die” because of their lack of knowledge, or because they don’t have the time to explore all the possibilities of web designing, and they are allowed to do that with me too!
About me
I’m French, I have Chinese origins. I’m bilingual (French and Chinese of course), and my English is good enough to be used in conversations and daily life.
I live in France, and in Shanghai during holidays. I began learning html at the age of 12, and making design when I was 13. Last year, I switched to XHTML and CSS coding. It was hard at the beginning, but I mastered CSS in 5 months.
Web design is my main hobby. Like average teenagers, I enjoy listening to good musics, reading strip cartoons (Garfield) and manga (^^)...
